I just found the perfect purse for any woman.  It is unbelievable that I never thought of this invention!  It is a purse within an adorable “shell.”  You basically keep all of your belongings in the purse section and then change the outer “shell” to match your favorite shoes, the new blouse you just changed into, or that really sassy dress you just bought to go out on the town in.

Thank you so much for your time in checking these frequently asked questions before emailing or calling.  This is going to be a perfect gift for yourself or friends and family and just in time for Mothers Day or Fathers Day, or to get a jump start on Holiday photos - we are so excited!  We expect to be very busy once the weather cools down because really – who wants to be having their photographs done during the blazing heat of summer?  If you have an urgent need of having your session done asap please let us know, otherwise lets chat about scheduling you during October/November when the weather is much nicer and still in time for the holidays.  Groupon sessions need to still be scheduled prior to September 13th.  Weekly Plus purchasers need to call us prior to Nov 6th to get scheduled.

What does the Deal include?

An on location portrait session for the alloted time of your deal purchased.  We will basically have locations and dates chosen that you can sign up for.  We photograph multiple families at each of the locations.  (Sometimes families with young children will need additional time which can be purchased in advance $20 for additional 20 minutes.) We will schedule a portrait session viewing in Chandler for 2-4 weeks after your session and this is when you will select your 8×10 image and any additional purchases you would like to make.  When the image is re-touched we will email a low resolution file for you to add to Facebook or use in your email signature.  On average you will have 15-60 images to choose from, it varies with who is photographed and how much time we have with you.

What are additional costs?

There are no extra requirements for many of the sessions.  The ones that have additional charges or requirements are 1)newborn sessions, 2)boudoir sessions, and 3)sessions requiring travel out of our 30 mile radius ie Flagstaff, Tucson, San Diego, Sedona, etc.  Our average family makes an investment of $500-1,000 for the print collections and products they fall in love with. 

Can I buy this deal as a gift for family or friends?

Absolutely!  Life happens so quickly and many families do not get their portraits done often enough.  We would love to create lasting memories for you and your friends.  Everyone should know at least one person they would love to share this gift with.  It is such a great gift for Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Christmas, birthdays, etc.

What type of sessions is this deal good for?

Families, Engagement Sessions, Couples, Boudoir – (see question below), Headshots, Animals, Children (age 4 months and older please – newborn sessions take considerably more time and therefore would incur an additional $100 sitting fee).  (We are available for newborn sessions with a minimum investment of $250 in products and then you could use the deal for the 1 year session for example).

Can I use the deal for a Boudoir Session?

Due to the time of the session, retouching, and the additional hotel expense, the groupon can be used for the session fee with an additional minimum purchase of $350 which can be spent on albums, prints, canvas wraps, etc.

What other products do you offer?

We have custom albums, canvas gallery wraps, custom framing, jewelry, purses, and so much more!  We can design your Holiday cards, announcements, party invitations and more. 

Can Animals be Included?

Absolutely with 2 conditions – they get lots of exercise prior to the session and you bring us snacks to give them as bribery.  It would be a good idea to have another family or friend that is not part of the photographs to also come and entertain the pet while we are doing different sets of photographs.

Do I have to make additional purchases?

Absolutely not, but we gaurantee you will fall in love with your images and won’t be able to just have 1.  Images that are purchased during the viewing session will be archived and all other images that are not purchased will be deleted forever.  Any and all members of the family that have a decision in purchasing will need to be present at the viewing session and it is a good idea to have a sitter for the younger children so it is stress free.

Can I scan or reproduce the image from my session?

Federal copyright laws prohibit scanning or reproducing copyrighted images.  We work very hard to respect other artists and would ask for you to do the same with us.  You will receive an email with a low resolution file of your favorite image that you will be able to add to Facebook or your email signature.

Can I use this deal for Wedding or Event Photography?

90% of our wedding photography business is referral business – we love referrals!  If you purchase the deal and choose to use us for your wedding we would love to discount your package by $250.  What a great bonus right!

How soon will I receive my prints once I have placed my order?

Prints will be available 2-4 weeks after the order is placed at the viewing session.  You can make an appointment to pick them up in Chandler (Ray and the 101 area) or they can be mailed for an additional $10 for shipping and handling of images 11×14 and smaller.

What is the cancellation policy?

48 hours notice by both phone and email will be required to cancel a session appointment or the deal will be forfeited.  There will be a maximum of 1 change in session appointment times before forfeiting the deal.  This is out of respect to other families and our own family and we appreciate your understanding.  If a session is made prior to the holiday season and you cancel – your new session will need to be rescheduled after the holiday season unless we can find a space for you prior to the holidays.  Dates are based on availability.

What is timeframe for Christmas cards and holiday gifts?

To ensure holiday delivery – the session will need to be completed by December 5th and viewing completed by December 10th.  We work extra hard during the holidays to get everyones order in as quickly as possible.

When does my deal expire?

For groupon the session will need to occur prior to September 13th 2011.  We encourage you to call or email soon after your purchase to secure your session date in the calendar.  Dates are subject to availability.

For the Weekly Plus clients – you will need to contact us prior to midnight November 6th for your session.  We anticipate booking into January for these sessions.

Do you have a studio?

We do not have a studio but can offer studio lighting in your home for an additional $100.  Most of our sessions will be at various outdoor locations around the valley.  We use different light modifiers to create gorgeous images that we promise you will love!

Where will the session take place?

We will work together to choose the perfect place for your family portraits.  Locations within 30 miles of our home in Chandler will not incur a travel fee.  We will be scheduling 2-8 family sessions in a day at one mutually agreeable location.  Most of our sessions in the past have taken place in Tempe, Scottsdale, and downtown Phoenix depending on the look you are going for.  I can post options with specific dates when we will be traveling out of town.

Will you travel?

Of course! We plan to offer sessions in cities such as Sedona, Flagstaff, Tucson, San Diego, etc.  There will be an additional travel fee of $100 and we must have at least 5 interested families for out of town sessions with travel fees paid at time of booking.  For the families interested in traveling – I really need an email asap of the possible cities you would like to go to so that I can see what works for all of us.  We will be in England in September if that works out that anyone would like to join us there:)

Do you allow outfit changes?

Due to time constraints it may not be possible.  We may have time for simple add on props such as twirling skirts for the little girls or cool hats for the boys.  We have a few props such as furniture pieces and skirts, etc that we can bring upon request.  There are some specific props that will require a booking session dedicated to a specific style – for example some of the delicate and gorgeous angel wings and boutique style dresses for the girls – most of these fantasy type portraits will be done with studio lighting indoors.

How soon can I make an appointment?

As of today 4/30/11 – it is getting very warm outside with reasonable temperatures first thing in the morning and last hour of the sunlight – if you need to get scheduled asap let us know via email and we will make it happen.  We may however recommend getting you scheduled for the fall when the weather becomes much more enjoyable.

How many images will I get to choose from?

How fun are you? It really depends on how much emotion and fun we can get out of you.  A range of 15-60 images.  If you are a family of 5 for example – there will be a few of the parents, a few of the kids as a unit, a few of the family, and a few of everyone as individuals.

How long after the session before I can view the images?

This will depend in part on how busy we are with weddings that month and what our family schedule is like.  When we schedule the portrait session we will schedule a viewing session for approximately 1-4 weeks after the portrait session.  If you will be purchasing a canvas print or framed enlargement of 16×20 or larger I will come to your home to assist with designing the right art piece for the right space and hold the viewing at that time.  Otherwise, the viewing will be held in Chandler.

How much do some of your other products cost?

Prints start at $12, gallery wraps start at $150, jewelry pieces start at $50, holiday cards have a $25 design fee and then begin at $75 for a box of 25.  We don’t want to overwhelm you but we have lots of fun products that are great gifts for everyone on your list.
